I wanted to let everyone know what I have been doing since leaving MarketPointe Realty Advisors in August. I am extremely excited to announce I have been working with Clean Power Systems. We provide solar electric systems for residential and commercial applications.


This last couple of weeks has been a blast. I attended the International Solar Power Conference at the San Diego Convention Center. It was an eye opening experience. As I walked the floor I saw so many advancement and new solar technology on display. I even saw Arnold Schwarzenegger speak on Monday. I was lucky enough to experience a couple of his Hummer and bad movie jokes.


However, he is very stanch supporter of solar energy. He mentioned his vision of flying down to San Diego in a helicopter and seeing solar on every rooftop. He added that next time he comes to the Solar Conference he hopes it will be in his solar powered Hummer. Then finished with his often said line "I'll be back".


Besides Arnie, there were so many interesting and dynamic solar innovations like large scale thin-film by SunTech, and micro-inverter technology. Oh, I can't forget about the incredible Block Party that was sponsored by SunPower, Open Energy, and several other solar industry companies. I can't wait till next year.

Current Federal and State Solar Incentives


If you did not know the Federal Government just passed along with the Rescue Plan a couple of weeks ago. 30% tax credit for solar systems installed in 2009.
The Federal incentive along with the State of California's Solar Initiative Program will save you about $15,600 on the an average 4kw residential solar system.
Also for NEW HOMES there are additional incentives through the State of California’s New Home Solar Partnership.
