The buzz around these terms is louder than ever. President-elect Obama has already laid out his Energy Plan that he hopes to pass through congress next year. It seems the Federal Government is starting to step up and make true efforts in supporting alternative energy solutions.
The recently adopted 30% federal tax rebate for residential and commercial solar installations starting in 2009 has created a true surge in solar system sales. It saves the average residential homeowner $7,500 on a new solar system. It was just what consumers were waiting for to make solar within their reach.

Sell you home twice as fast with solar.
There are currently 40,000 homes with solar in the country. And according to this article that number is about to spike.

Also a recent report by Ryness revealed solar homes in California sell about twice as fast than those home without a solar solution. Anything to increase absorption in today market is sure to spark interest with anyone trying to sell a home or homes.
That is probably why the November BIA Building Industry Show in Long Beach was very out of the ordinary this year. It appears the building industry vendors are all turning Green. While walking the convention floor I saw so many green building products being offered.
One of these products is Open Energy Building Integrated Tiles. They blend into the roof-line, and have several colors to match most roofing tiles. I am excited to be able to offer this unique solution to home builders and those who are looking to re-roof.
Also, through the California Energy Commission, New Solar Home Partnership, home-builders are able to capitalize on large rebates for solar in their new communities. Which means lower costs to the builder and homeowner.
